Description:

When holding out a handful of peanuts to squirrels in a city park, it's easy to look down at the small paws, the bright eyes, and imagine little growly voices rising up through the long whiskers. And that's exactly what happens one day when Paul brings a bag of cashews to the park- the squirrels speak. They have lived in the park for a long time, waiting. Waiting like any ordinary squirrels for the right someone with a handful of crunchy, nutty good stuff, and lots to share. Yet unlike other squirrels, they have a gift for that person. A secret, hidden in a dark place for a long time. A dangerously valuable secret that others will do anything to find.

This is an incredibly enjoyable piece of creativity. I am so excited to read this entire tail, and any sequel. You see I just love the antics of squirrels, their community all that they do...I have often spent hours photographing them, not knowing whether to grab the digital or movie camera. I named mine and told stories in my own little photo holder, so this is just a dream for me to find. Bravo for this wonderful book! Please do it justice and list it with adults also, there are a bouwafoo number of squirrel lovers out there who'd be blessed to encounter this wonderful Squirrel Tail! LOL I cannot wait to read it to my grands...after devouring it myself:) Squirrel person, ya gotta figure...we are...you got it!
