This book made me laugh, cry and extrememly happy.
If you haven't ever met two feisty characters like Alundra and Faversham, I suggest you do it now by buying this book first.
I read this book when it was first published in Hardback and enjoyed it just as much the second time around, with the added bonus of it being printed in beautiful paperback which was delightful to the touch. I could bend this book while eating my Chocolates, and throw my head back to entwine in the smooching dreamy world of 'Roses Airs and Graces.
The Author gives glowing descriptions of both the beautiful places they visit and mouth watering descriptions of the delicious food and drinks that they try. A warning...don't read this book if you are dieting or unable to reach any food in a hurry as it will definitely make your tummy rumble!
It was an enjoyable read which should be made into a movie which I would be very interested in seeing. I can picture either Brad Pitt or George Clooney as Faversham. And Halle Berry or Jennifer Love Hewitt as Alundra. The most sad thing about this book is? It had to end. I wish it could roll on forever and ever, or better still I wish I could transport myself back to 1827.
I got the Hardback version, the Paperback, now I'am waiting for the movie.
