Great for understanding what the RELIGION really is [ No Rating ] 4 Jul 2007
OK, I'm not a Wiccan, nor would I call myself a "witch" (or any close synonym), but I respect their religion and found this book a very interesting read. I have looking for information on the underlying belief system of religion, and this was excellent -- in a world full of spell books, it was good to find a book on what Wicca is all about.

For anyone wanting to know more about Wicca, whether, out of curiousity, to understand Wiccans, because they are becoming Wiccan themselves, or because they are considering and want know if Wicca would be right for them, I would recommend two books. First, start with Wicca For Beginners: Fundamentals of Philosophy & Practice by Thea Sabin, as this is good book to learn the fundamentals. After that I would recommend this book as a way to deep your understanding Wiccan philosophy. Ersa Free may not speak for all Wiccans, and some may not fully agree with her, but she seems to be one of the few Wiccan authors to really look deep into theology and her perspective is well thought out and makes a lot of sense. If writer was going to convince me to become a witch it would be her.
