Description:Goran K King is a refreshingly literate voice in a room often echoing with the mediocre. His writing flows with knowing ease, and his images are both new and entertaining; 'I’d rather french-kiss a rattlesnake'; 'coke bottle lenses'. The humor is never forced, and his characters move the narrative forward with splendid dialogue and wonderful activity. Underscoring the apparent simplicity is an informed ability to capture the reader's imagination... and to hold it. This is an impressive addition to the genre. Congratulations. Still reading, I can't help but feel like I am there watching everything unfold! I love the way you pull the reader into the story. I can't wait to finish it. This has got to be one of the best stories I have read in a long time! Keep up the good work Goran..This is great stuff! Jo Walker, author of Lizzie: A time For Growing.

Goran King - remember the name well because I would not be surprised if this book becomes a classic along with Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer! The writing is great and the story is great! You have to read this book - it will bring back vivid memories of your childhood as you read it. Great job!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading; “NO TIME TO DUCK” By: Goran K. King. This book, which is centralized around the formative years, fishing, & adventures in discovery within the adolescent experience of yesteryear, not only lifted my spirits but also caused me to grin with delight. A true page-turner in every aspect of the definition! Mr. King successfully combined both humor and intrigue to produce a book that is guaranteed to elevate your soul and take you on a journey with a rewarding climax.

Seriously, Goran. Your book is amazing. The prose is sharp and witty, and the plot charming and humourous.
I think this is a must-read for my son. I just ordered it.

How many times do you read a book from new? Once maybe twice, would be the usual answer. I have read this book seven times, four of those in quick succession. It is a brilliant piece of work, that, sorry Lulu, deserves to be published in the mainstream, NOW!! it is that good.
It is a tale of friendship, but set in a region, and a time, where friends and siblings could beat the **** out of each other, and yet be sitting together, laughing, and eating freshly caught trout 8 minutes later - no appearing on Jerry Springer nor suffer a lifetime of counselling. This is a rites of passage tale, of sorts, but leaning heavily on the fun-filled crazy capers young country boys get up to ( and hopefully still do ). Not a PC, X Box or cell/mobile in sight. What will throw you, at first, is, its setting. People forget that punctuating the huge urban sprawls of the great Northern US Cities, is just as much mountain, dale, lake, river, wheat and veritable piles of cow **** as there is in that golden source of material which kept Mr Langhorn Clemens in green-backs. Goran King has brought to life those halcyon days of wholeness in simplicity, were parents wanted to know why you were in and not out and where big-shot cousins visiting from the city soon realised they were ducks out of water. Please do read this preview - if you do - you won't settle for that - you will buy it, and like me you will read it again and again.
