Description:

Star Kids, "Dangerous Haul" is an absolute fun read for Christians of all ages. Follow the adventures of space faring children as they encounter Pirates, Galactic Enforcers, Rebels, and War ships of every kind. Laugh as they find unusual ways of getting into and out of trouble. Watch as they problem solve like no ordinary children and win the day. What makes them special? Find out their secret and see why it must remain hidden. To the bad guys they are a myth. To the good guys they are heroes who change the landscape and rally the sleeping hero in all of us. Is their space ship just an old freighter which has seen better days, or a timeless invention of omniscience? Follow Breanna, Taylor, and Joshua into battle and ask yourself, "Where's the babysitter?"

Dangerous Haul is in a class all by itself. My son enjoys science fiction and I prefer he reads christian books. I don't know of any other series that marries the two. The author is doing a great thing by reaching teen boys for Christ without being preachy. I am all for books that give my son a godly example of God's faithfulness and power with plenty of adventure to keep him reading. I read the first book, but my son read all three and is waiting for book 4.

I’m not a fan of action books but Dangerous Haul had a little something for everyone. I was drawn in by the beauty and strength of the mother, Ramona Star, and the children amazed me as they battled heroically against the forces of evil.

There are plenty of starship battles for the action lovers, yet the overall theme of the book revolves around the love that the Star family has for each other and for the lost.

This story made me laugh in places and in others I was moved to tears. In my favorite part, I could see the Spirit of God moving as the author skillfully painted a picture of God’s presence. I felt like I was there.
