Krasskova who pioneered devotional texts in the Asatru religion with her The Whisperings of Woden, returns to the God Odin with a follow-up collection of her personal prayers wrought from a year of meditation on the God. This dual language, bilingual book offers the prayers in both English and German. For any who are seeking to connect, maintain, deepen or evolve relationships with Odin--or with any God for that matter--Krasskova has laid bare her own personal feelings and heart-felt devotions to Odin so that others can be inspired.

This is a very personal text of reverence and filled with spiritual awe; emotion and belief are infused in every line, found in every cadence of these poems that resonate so strongly of the experiential. This is a work of worship, venerating the Old Man, the Hanging God, the Wanderer, the Blind One, the Ever Booming One, Lord of the Dead, and All-Father—just to name a few.

For any who are seeking something other than a research oriented historical text, and who wish to see examples of how others experience the Gods on a personal level, this is a must-have read.
