Description:

Theophilus Lindsey was one of the most famous English clergyman of the 18th century. A friend of Joseph Priestly, he resigned from a post as an Anglican minister upon rejecting the doctrine of the Trinity. He's famous for forming the first explicitly Unitarian congregation in London in 1774. This book, reprinted from the 1783 edition, represents his mature thoughts on the doctrine of the Trinity and the nature of Jesus Christ. In it he argues for a Unitarian interpretation of the Bible, and interacts with the arguments of numerous earlier Trinitarians, Socinians, Unitarians, Arians, and subordinationists.
