Personally, I find the artwork especially stunning.. ;} I'll not mention the name Sarah Hayes.

On a more serious note--Mimesis is everything every reviewer has said so far and more. The styles and content of the poems vary and satisfies a wide range of readers; I found something different to like, or even love from every contributer. While it won't exactly be resting under my pillow every night as I fall asleep, my copy of Mimesis 1 will definately be thumbed through often!

Mimesis proves that modern poetry is not dry and boring. In fact, this new journal of art and writing invites the reader in for a cup of tea, lets him sit and taste the stories that these poets and artists have to offer. There is a fantastic array of new, young talent here. Certainly worth a gander.

Mimesis is a great journal, I shall be subscribing for every issue! Great to see up-and-coming writers alongside some more established ones. Well done, James Midgely and Co.
