There are far too many children who have lost a parent. This book will give them encouragement and a reminder that there is a "herd" of family available to them. Beautifully illustrated and well written, this will make a great gift.

As those of us who have raised children know, our children want us to read their favorite book to them over and over. This book will easily become a favorite--for both you and your child. The story is both exciting AND inspirational. The art work is profound, and many of the pictures bear looking at in greater depth, containing many subtleties that gradually reveal themselves with repeated viewings. But above all, the art work and the story are emotionally convincing. I think that if someone who did not read English paged through the book, they could follow the story from the emotional nuances expressed by the expressions of the characters. As long as you have to read a book over and over, you may as well make it one that rewards your time. This is a book that both you and your children will enjoy.
Excellent!
