So many people are cruel today. You say you hate cats and dogs are better? Why dont you get your head out of the ground! Cats have faults and so do dogs. You say dogs are playful and loyal right? No, most dogs arent. Dogs crap everywhere, tear up everything, they kill mercilesly, and are no more loyal than a blood-thirsty killer! All dogs want are you to pet them and feed them. If you dont, they wont be so loyal to you now will they? When they "play" they are rough. They hurt children and send them to the hospital. When is the last time anyone say a child or a person killed by a cat? Never. But dogs, kill all the time.
I love cats and dogs and would never hurt an animal for anything. Training dogs is tough and all and isnt worth anyones time. Cats are friendly and play nice. They scratch and bite. But do they try to kill for no reason? No, but dogs do. I have seen a dog maul a 6 year old and kill him mercilesly while the owner watched. Does a cat do that? No.
All the people who want cats dead and hurt, guess what, you are all horrible people, killers, and bound to be in prison when you get older and I hope that you all go to hell! Anytime I see someone try to injure my cat, you know what I do? I bash their face in!
And think to yourselves dog owners and lovers. Wouldnt you feel outraged if they declared open season on dogs as well? Dogs cause way more damage then any cat can. Think about this before you hurt an anmimal.

Not worth the download even at less than a dollar. No content that is worth it. Not even funny.
Jay your pathetic preview will not prompt people to buy your tirade on why you hate cats. I certainly wouldn't waste my money on it. I agree that there are some cats that wouldn't waste their time giving you a glance but that does not mean all cats are the same. There are some dogs that don't make good pets, look at all the children who get molested by the family pet dog that suddenly turns vicious. No you can't tar every cat with the same brush and think dogs are beyond reproach. I have both cats and dogs and they are both loyal and loving friends and part of the family, I could no more do without my cats than I could do without my dogs. My dogs are big ferocious guard dogs but they love me to death and I am glad to have them guarding my property and myself. My cats are warm, intelegent and loving companions who take an interest in everything I do and I am glad to have their companionship and their unconditional love.
I'm sorry you feel so alienated towards cats you obviously have no understanding of the differences in the pshyche of these two wonderful animals they are like chalk and cheese and cannot be compared to one another, with one being better than the other, they are simply quite different. If you could understand how their minds work perhaps you would think differently.
Regards Anne

Cats are worthless, selfish and nasty. I owned three and let me tell you something……The only time they wanted “Love” was when I sat down to dinner or they wanted to be petted. They could give a crap about anybody or anything but their own self. They would do things over and over again they knew they shouldn’t because I have already corrected them and they don’t care. A dog will learn its lesson and comply. Their hair all over everything is nasty too. The little bastard didn’t even cover its own crap. I HATE CATS!!!! Only lesbians and old people like them. Shouldn’t that tell you something? They are more trouble than they’re worth which is nothing. I hope Wisconsin passes that law. To hell with all of them!!!!!!!

The big thing that most cat-hater/dog-lovers talk about is how loving, loyal and courageous dogs are. Cats, in contrast, are faithless, aloof, cowards. I thought that was the case until I got a cat. Then I realized that only one kind of pet owner would see dogs and cats that way:
Loyalty
Cats are even *more* loyal that dogs. Many only love one person. They love that person completely, and no one else has the power to win them away from that person. Every dog I’ve been with loves everybody who pets him. Some are less “trusting” of strangers, but usually a dog can adjust to moving to a new family. Cats are broken hearted when their “one and only” leaves them, and have a much harder time adjusting. The only real difference I’ve noticed is that if you start abusing a dog, it will stay with you. You abuse a cat, it’ll try to leave.
Bravery
Yes, everyone knows how dogs protect their family from intruders. But the “head of the pack” can abuse other members of the pack without retribution—including the dog itself—as long as it keeps the pack hierarchy intact. A dog will cower in fear when the Alpha beats his children, and will slink away if he kicks the dog itself. While a cat might not stand up to you on behalf of others, it will almost always stand up for itself. Even a one pound kitten will hiss at you, no matter how terrifying you are. If you hurt the cat, they won’t go back for it. They’ll learn to hate you. If putting up with abuse is your definition of bravery, then call me a coward.
Love
My cats love me just as much as the dogs I grew up with did. They follow me throughout the house. They cuddle with me at night. They adore me. Oh, they didn’t start glooming on me immediately as the dogs did. I had to earn their trust first. I had to demonstrate that I was *worthy* of their love.
Put these three clues together, and I’ll tell you what kind of personal absolutely hates cats. It’s someone who defines Loyalty as willingness to love you after you beat it. It’s someone who’s concept of Bravery allows for sitting and doing nothing while children get beaten, and not standing up for itself. It’s someone who thinks that love should be given blindly, and that love isn’t something you earn. People who hate cats and adore dogs are abusers, and people with power problems.

Megan, you obviously have some deep seeded phobia of dogs. I used to as well. I have owned many pleasant cats, one of whom (a Blue Persian; imaginatively called Blue) I shall always miss. But as a proud dog owner and canine convert, I can tell you that the best thing you can do is go out and get a puppy. I realise now that Blue's best quality was the fact that she was so typically dog-like.
ie.
She didn't climb all over the house,
She didn't scratch everything to pieces,
She didn't wake me up in the middle of the night to climb into bed (easily the worst of all cat behaviours)
She never bit and
She never clawed me playfully.
Most cats do at least a few of these
Dogs are predictable. When you play with them the love it and they play with you.
Almost every cat I've played with has enjoyed itself too, but at my expense. Cats are benign in appearance but are vicious in nature. I've worked in a hospital and as many people come in for dog bites as cat bits, only with dog bites, more often than not the person was at fault. Biting during play is more innate to cats.
I'm not saying all cats do, I am saying dogs are less prone to this behaviour. By the sounds of it you've done a good job with you cat's upbringing, for every one nice cat there's about five troublesome ones.

You don't have to clean up your cat's doo because it digs up other people's flowers and bulbs and makes new planting highly unhygenic or chooses to go on someone else's lawn rather than yours. I'd rather you DID carry a bag around and clear up its disgusting mess. Cats are foul but I am fighting back with shallow buried broken glass and barbed wire and can really recommend this as a cure for their nasty habits.

The author promotes the myth that cats are not good pets. He obviously never had one. I know plenty of great cats, and like any other animal, there are some less than great cat pets. I'd argue that many of the "bad" cat pets are a result of owners who either don't let them outside so that they are fat, lazy housecats, or don't let them inside so that they are overly independent.
For every "bad cat," however, there is a bad dog. I've never had to go to the hospital for a cat bite. My neighbor's cat has never kept me up all night meowing. I don't need to walk my cat or pick up his doo. I can leave my cat home and he won't eat my furniture.
I'm sick of this double-standard that it's acceptable and even funny to hate cats, but to hate a dog is considered inhumane and shameful. Well I'll just go ahead and say it, and you can hate me for it, but I HATE DOGS.
