Comprised of two prior volumes of dialogues, this compilation dates from the early 1980s and is thus reflective of the 'conversion' to transcendentalism which occurred in John O'Loughlin's writings at around that time. Flanked by an essayistic introduction and a kind of aphoristic appendix, the latter somewhat akin to 'icing on the cake', this substantial collection of dialogues underlines the importance of technology to the development of transcendentalism in a global age, and does so in spite of certain political and economic obstacles which the author chose to identify certain of his dialoguists with at the time.
