Twenty Tons gives a preamble to all of those Poems from I49 & Other Roads, as well as combining two other compilations of poetry, those being, ‘Cracking Up’ and ‘Different Shades.’ In addition to that, there a few other poems in presented here that are not present in the other three compilations.
These poems are still fitted for performance and best heard when read out loud. Where appropriate I have also given some performance instructions. In the end though I do hope that whilst recognizing my voice, be assured that it is my deep desire that these poems also become a carrier wave for your very own and very distinct voice to be discovered.
