With Sins of the Fathers, author Charity Bishop launches an enthralling two-book series set against the dramatic backdrop of India, and later, pre-Revolutionary War England. Combining great storytelling ability with a well-rounded plot, full of suspense, mystery, and perhaps even a dark thread of the unexplainable, you will be compelled to turn the pages faster and faster to see what happens. You will find yourself not only captivated, but also charmed by Oscar Gallagher, the protagonist. He is not a character who will be easily forgotten by the reader - rather, they will find themselves picking up the book often to read the first installment of his story over and over again. Charity knows how to weave a good tale, and Sins of the Fathers, her first published book, will make you one of her loyal fans for life.

... I have finished reading Sins of the Fathers. I immensely enjoyed reading it and look forward very much to reading part two. After I read The Lord of the Rings I thought I would never again find a book that would take the "Number One" spot on my favorite book list. However I think that this book deserves that spot even more than The Lord of the Rings. It's that good. (And no I'm not trying to flatter you Charity! I'm attempting to be honest.) Rarely have I met a book with such philosophical and emotional depth and yet is not confusing to read. This book is remarkable. Definitely something I will be reading again. Only problem is I'm a bit sad to have to have finished it!

I’ve spent the last month proofreading Charity’s exciting and compelling novel set during the time when young America was struggling for her independence from England. Oscar is a troubled young man who can’t fathom the love of God because he never received the love of his earthly father. Charity has done a masterful job of weaving the characters together in a story that will help you see the importance of loving parents, along with the overwhelming realization that regardless of your earthly family there is something that can happen which will change your life and make you a new person.- Susan Bishop
I have had very little time to read lately, and this is the only book I have been reading for pleasure. I am almost finished and even though I knew that Charity was a good writer from reading some short stories she had written, this book surpasses my expectations. This is a WONDERFUL book, full of great characterizations, unexpected plot twists and flowing dialogue. The main character, Oscar Gallagar is a young man, kind hearted and cold and mysterious all at the same time. If you want to read something different and satisfying, give this book a whirl. You will be glad you did.
I just want to tell you that I just finished your second book and I am both happy and sad. Happy the way it ended but sad that there will be no more books with Oscar in them. You had me completely guessing on many points in the book and when you did write what might have normally been the expected, turn of events, it was written in such a way that it still took my breath away. These books need to be picked up by a major publisher! I have read well over 1,000 novels in my life so far, and yours is among the most enjoyable and among the best written.

Having been an avid reader for many years, I looked forward to this release with great interest and attention. I was not disappointed for one moment. The content is deeply spiritual and intellectual. Character development is in depth and the storyline itself is incredibly engaging. I've read many Christian novels in my lifetime. Enough to discern between ones worthy of my attention and those unworthy. Sins of the Fathers #1 is most certainly an incredible achievement in literature and a book I shall read continuously for many years to come.
