Description:

What is GAAK? It's like ET--With teeth. It's like The Gremlins if they came from outer space and had great comic timing. GAAK is what you get when you mix Steven Spielberg's "The Goonies" with equal parts of classic 50's style creature feature movies like "The Invaders from Mars". When aliens from outer space invade a small suburban town and hatch a fiendish plot to take over the earth and meet the original cast of "Star Trek", four misfit kids named Zach, Jemmy, Plato, and Chubs set out to save the world--And all before bedtime. After all, tonight's a school night. Story by Darryl Hughes, art by Monique MacNaughton

It would make for a great movie as well but I had a lot of fun reading this one, being that it's been a long time since I collected comic books this calls to mind a lot of the old comic books I used to have pretaining to Science Fiction. So for those who are fans of Sci-Fi, this is a very strong comic to pick up -- as he describes it to being a Science Fiction take on the Goonies, I think it is something more. The artwork is well executed and extremely creative. This can easy become something huge if done in color too. Man you need to consider doing this in color.
It does remind me greatly of the old 1950's science fiction, and takes it to the new era. Fun to read to boot, I had to read this in 2 days just to see what happens next. Keep it coming man, you got a great imagination.
Great read!

I loved GAAK. It reminded me of the days when comics and B movies were fun. Somehow this concept seems to be lost nowadays. You can keep your flawed hereos and realistic CGI. Give me stuff like GAAK any day. I loved Goonies and the original Eerie, Indiana and this comic reminded me of both. Five thumbs up! Can't wait to read more. When's the next one going to be out?

A happy reader,

I'm also a Drunk Duck user, like the artist of GAAK. I've seen some pages, and this stuff is awesome. Since the print quality of the art depends soley on what the artist sets it to, I don't think you need to worry that you're wasting money when buying from this guy. His stuff is AWESOME and he knows what he's doing.

EDIT- I've now read all of GAAK that has been made so far. It's like....I was supposed to write an essay but I couldn't because I was hooked on this comic. I won't hesitate to call it one of the best webcomics I've ever read.

This is the first book I ever bought from Lulu, and I was a bit skeptical when I learned Lulu was an on-demand print service, but the print quality is excellent. Each page of GAAK is a work of art, and I love being able to read it on paper instead of online. It's a good story, too--likeable heroes and hilarious villains. These guys are very, very talented and will likely be working for Marvel someday. This was a great buy and should be used by Lulu as an example of the great quality stuff they're able to help independent artists produce. All thumbs up!
