Description:

INFORMAL MAXIMS & MAXIMUM INFORMALITY is another of those 'mirror-image' composite projects by John O'Loughlin with its titles in reverse that takes his wholly aphoristic approach to philosophy a stage or two further along the path of Truth than did its predecessor in the genre,'Maximum Truth & Truthful Maxims', adding to Social Transcendentalism the concept of Social Theocracy and thus broadening out the messianic ideology of transcendentalism to include what was destined, in subsequent books, to become the ideological counterpart of Social Democracy.

The juxtaposition in one project of two books the titles of which are the reverse of each other is not new to John O'Loughlin's work, having been broached before and since, but it could certainly be said in this instance that understatement in the one title is balanced by overstatement in the other, since both of these volumes of aphoristic philosophy pursue a fairly steady course in the interests of Mr O'Loughlin's ideological philosophy of Social Transcendentalism, with, at times, surprising results.
