Het VACF-project onderzocht de mogelijkheden naar virtuele cultuurparticipatie door het ontwikkelen van een prototype van een virtuele kunstencentrum van de toekomst. Het Gentse kunstencentrum Vooruit fungeerde hierbij als 'pilot' en laboratorium. Het project realiseerde drie geïntegreerde demonstratiesystemen: een webplatform, een 3D-omgeving en een 'customer intelligence'-module.
