Description:

The book is both earthy and heavenly. It is earthy as it deals with the pain, upheavals, disappointments, sickness, bereavement, challenges, and humanity that confronts a minister in his call to love and care for his congregation/community as well as his own personal challenges in carrying out the mandate of the gospel; the mandate in caring and shepherding the flock God has placed in his care, but also in fulfilling the Divine Commission to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature….”

"Things I Never Want To Forget" by Don Allen has been a blessing in my life. I started reading this book and could not put it down. It is an easy-to-read collection of short stories that have inspired the author during his life. Don Allen writes with the authority of a great man of God, yet his gentle transparency into his own battles of faith was a source of comfort to me. This wonderful book provided great inspiration and challenge to me. I do not always grasp the full potential of Christianity, and insights from this book made me think about what is really important in life.
