Description:

A young professor catches a glimpse of an attractive brunette on a Cape Cod beach and suffers a case of love at first sight. When he rescues a teenage boy caught in a riptide, and the brunette revives him, he gets the introduction that he’s sought for so long. Although they begin meeting daily at the beach, she refuses to tell him anything about herself. Suddenly she stops showing up and he sets out, in a panic, to find her. His search takes him to Tufts Medical School, the Japanese Embassy, and Japan itself, where, at last , he unravels the mystery that has kept the two of them worlds apart.
