I'm am not a huge children book reader, ha-ha. But this is a really outstanding book. I highly suggest you purchase this book.
" The book inspires the child with it's plot and animation!" _Ahmed Alkhawaja, The youngest gulf obtaining th ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence)

I thought this was extraordinarily good work; I'm keeping an eye out for future work from this author. I would like to see "Two Eyes Made Out of Coal" turned into a short animated feature.
Russ Braun manages to perfectly re-create the eerie wonder of winter. His drawing style is flowing and expressive, and this book conveys the story so well in black and white you don't realize the fact that there are no words until later.
I rate this book very highly for people of all ages, especially anyone who enjoys books like Gaiman's The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish - the artwork is different, but the genre is the same.

This is a truly refreshing book by the obviously talented Russ Braun. The story is extremely well-told. Simple. Subtle. And concise. The drawing is magical, its line work fresh and full of action. Plus the subject matter is extremely charming, a naughty little boy and a twisted tale of retribution. I loved it. It’s a must for children and adults alike.

Who hasn't wondered at some point about the secret lives of snowmen? This little gem is a beautiful example of visual story telling. Illustrated with an expressively playful style that excites the eye and sparks the imagination. The clever little holiday story has a wicked little twist that imparts a surprisingly sweet and gentle message for all ages to consider. The perfect antidote for sachrine winter season blahs, it'll make you wonder about the next snowman you see in print or on the lawn next door.
