In 1985, Zen Master Moore, was granted Inka, the seal of Zen Master Sŭngsan’s approval and authorization to lead retreats and teach kong´an practice. Moore, Sŏnsa-nim continued to work hard and practiced with Zen Master Sŭngsan. He then received Dharma Transmission, (Chŏnbŏp) in April of 1997 and was given the name Jibong Sŏnsa-nim (Wisdom Peak, Honored Zen Master) and then became the seventy-ninth Ancestor in the Sŏn lineage of Korean Mazu-Linji Buddhism.
