This historical record contains different views of the early life of the colony as they relate to Edward Powell who was one of the first free settlers on the new colony of Australia. The book contains a family tree starting at Edward Powell and tracing one branch of the family who lived in the Hawkesbury region. Special attention is given to Noel and Ethel Powell (the authors parents) and what life was like living in the Berambing/Bilpin areas of the Blue Mountains in the earlier part of the last century (1920 - 1970).
