The author, a second-generation Ethiopian immigrant, recounts this poignant tale in poetic format. His inspirational collection of poems reflects the final words and thoughts of a dying man who traveled across the world, raised a family and became successful. Finally fulfilling the American dream. Part of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to 46664, Africare, the African AIDS Initiative and other organizations working to promote HIV awareness and helping those affected in Sub-Saharan and East Africa. While the message is a keen one, the typical high school rhyming style of a.b.a.b. and lack of break from this style doesn't do the topic justice. Poetry need not be about sticking to a rhythm, which one would know from the continent of Africa, which refuses to bow to the common beat of the world.

Kifle has an undeniable talent.

This book reminds me of all the pain in the world.A dying man living in a cruel world.A sickness that kills.Yet what is the sickness?The cruelty or the disease.Interesting read.Made me shed some tears.One day we will all take a dirt nap.Living for the moment is what counts.

The concept of this book alone is very precise, we follow this man on his journey through his past, and to his ultimate resting.

Written beautifully, the ink has flowed from the pen as sure as life. Wonderful.

The writing is beautiful, the words flow so naturally from Kifle, like an instinctive animal, reacting to its surroundings. His words will haunt you, leaving a desire for more.

I read a small portion of oyur book and I find it to be a beautiful piece of work. If I was more financially stable I would probably purchase this book, it is a reasonable price. My if my misfortune turns around I will be back to order
