Not only does it look great and reads well, but on many levels it makes for a great satire on US health care, at least I thought so.

Plus, this is something you can just sit back with and enjoy. It's easy going and has a kind heart that warms your soul.

I will be checking out the other volumes, and loving every page of them.

This book is a treasure. It's quality far surpasses many of the Art Books and Comics (Professional and Amateur) that make it onto BookStore Shelves today. Christine Chong has always poured her heart and soul into her work, and it shows in the passionate portrayals of her characters and stories that I've enjoyed ever since I discovered this wonderfully talented Up-and-Coming artist and storyteller. Every aspect of the artform is important to her, both technical and emotional. If this book seems expensive, it most certainly is not. With the amount of work put into each page, panel, and illustration, and the superb quality of printing and binding, this book is one of the most satisfying purchases I've ever made. Truly something special, and I am SO glad I found Ms Chong's artwork when I did, because it's endlessly inspiring and exhilarating read. She is the kind of artist that films are made of. She truly has her heart in her work, she has true talent, and she is going BIG places. Congratulations Mayshing!

Open the pages and be caught up in Angel's (mis)adventures as techno nurse to LienLei, a tempermental cyborg with a penchant for firing people and smashing furniture. Lien, for his part, isn't prepared to learn that courage sometimes wears pink, as Angel walks the fine line between helping traumatized people and being destroyed by them...

If you've been following this manga online, prepare to be wowed by the printed version. Mayshing's beautiful color pencils almost glow from page to page, giving added life and vibrancy to the drawings you've already seen. Some of my favorites are the greyscale panel on page 93 and the full-page illustrations before each chapter; they invite you to just sit and admire for a few minutes. Not for Edepth the dark grunge look of too many comics. These colors are of the earth and sky.

One warning: when your copy comes, hide it. I didn't, and had to wait for three people to finish reading it before I could get it back. It's that eye-catching. The Lulu preview images really don't do it justice.

The book is much easier to read than the online version due to its superior size and crisp detail. No more squinting at the smaller text balloons! I'm very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to the next volume release.

I followed EDepth Angel when it was first posted as a webcomic and it was only reasonable to order this when it came out in printed form! This volume has four sizeable chapters and is very sturdily bound. When this arrived in the mail I couldn't keep my hands off of it! I know that the price tag may seem daunting initially, but how many mangas that you own are actually in full color? I am still in awe that the artist, Christine, hand colored this manga. That is definitely a highlight of EDepth, so I was initially worried that the printed pages wouldn't do it justice. However, the quality was great and the colors are lush and smooth on the pages. I'm really excited because EDepth just gets better and better... I can't wait for the rest of the chapters to be printed as well! I really recommend this item!!
