Roberto and Danielle are providing readers an opportunity to experience a new world in Middle School Cool Volume 1. Yet, at the same time, the characters of Brad, Brianna, Dash McHenry, Craig, April and Donna are a few of the types of kids we grew up with during our youth. I am a father of three beautiful girls and the younger two are totally in love with the first of this series. I laughed, I cried and the story brought back memories of my youth. What I especially liked was the Biblical Instruction at the back of the book. My wife and I use the instructions for our family Bible studies with the girls. I am looking forward to more works in this genre by the authors.

While I was an awkward pre-teen in middle school, I was always curious to know other than the obvious facts of not being the most beautiful, athletic or popular, what seperated me from the cool kids. As I became an adult, I learned that was all trivial. Roberto and Danielle connected to me in a way that very few authors connected through literature. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book geared towards middle school children. It was quick paced, funny, literary and it respects the average middle school student. Hooray for Middle School Cool...I will definitely stay tuned for the next volume. Kudos to the authors.

Roberto and Danielle has given teen literature a new name-"Cool For All Ages". I was impressed with the way the beginning of the book was set up to introduce the characters. I felt that I knew these characters who were so familiar to me from my formative years. The present tense takes getting a little used to, however, the more I read the narrative and dialogue, is the more that I felt that I was roaming the school corridors, going to the football game and cheering the Spartans, and hanging out with the jocks and cheerleaders at the football victory party. Not to mention that the book includes character building biblical instruction at the end of the book. A job well done for this intelligent, literary, and witty couple. I'm looking forward to the release of "Middle School Cool- Volume Two."
