Description:

As suggested by the title, this volume of aphoristic philosophy continues to explore the axial differences between what has, in general terms, been called the bureaucratic/theocratic axis of a rising diagonal and the autocratic/democratic axis of a falling one, and to draw irrefutable conclusions from the contrasts so examined.

Although the title is somewhat overstated, in that axial divergence is already a long-established fact, the conclusions which John O'Loughlin draws between them is not new but, in a sense, profoundly revolutionary and even revelatory of their respective natures and fates. For in this important volume of aphoristic philosophy Mr O'Loughlin demonstrates quite conclusively that the paths that lead to Social Democracy and to Social Theocracy are as axially divergent as it is possible to be, and that only in the latter case does eschatology achieve a divine resolution.
