Guidelines for Acute Care of the Neonate is designed by the Section of Neonatology at Baylor College of Medicine to guide the usual routines of caring for common problems in neonates. Where appropriate, national guidelines or reference to peer-reviewed scientific investigations are cited to help in the decision-making process.

Guidelines is reviewed and revised annually (or more frequently if necessary) as new recommendations for clinical care become available.
