Description:

Family & Friends, Faith, Fame & Fortune. Important factors in life. Which matters most? Are they dominoes, destined to fall one after another? Or more like a deck of cards? Lose one, might as well toss the rest. After her husband’s sudden death, Addie Davis finds herself alone in small town Summervale, GA with four young kids to raise. Unable to share her irreverent humor with those around her, Addie confides her observations on life after he’s gone to her dead husband Vin, in humorous, heart-breaking emails. Meanwhile, family & friends gather. Before long, the Casserole Cavalry arrives. Will they be enough to restore her faith? Or will her sass drive them all away? While Addie battles for a fortune she’s not sure will bring her what she wants, she meets a famous stranger. He claims love at first sight, but her reaction is to scoff at him. Is Hank Mooney too good to be true? Or can he restore Addie's faith, in life and in love? Will her infamous past keep her from a fortunate new life?

Change of Address by Kathleen Hamilton Allen is an engrossing story of a woman's struggle to find herself and her place in a world after the tragic, sudden loss of her husband. Left with 4 small children to raise on her own, she grapples with her loss, her faith, her past and a new love interest on her journey to a new life. Getting her through this time, she grieves for her husband by having these very entertaining, and often raw, conversations with him. One can't help but get swept away in Addie's loss and rebirth in this well written, easy to read gem.
