Description:It is Timothy Harada's belief that the wisdom of Buddhism can bring light to many of the problems confronting humanity's continued existence. In fact, he feels the Buddhism of a revolutionary monk of 13th century Japan, Nichiren Daishonin, based on the highest teachings of Buddhism (contained in the Lotus Sutra) is one of the only religious philosophies that is perfectly conducive with the most progressive practices and understandings of democracy, human rights, social justice and the preservation of Planet Earth. He tries to apply the wisdom of Buddhism to all of the current problems in the world, to create a dialogue so needed if we are to create a new consciousness that will save humanity from annihilation.
