Nothing more satisfying than a nice solid straightforward ghost story well told.

This is one of those... extremely enjoyable. My only quibble is that the ending felt rushed and at one point I had to re read one of the later paragraphs to ascertain what was going on.

Overall though, atmospheric with interesting characters.

There's something to be said for a story that takes you through so much and then ends in such an unexpected way. I enjoyed it. My only wish is that the revenge aspect be drawn out a little more.
Revenge is a dish that is best served cold [ No Rating ] 11 Mar 2005
The storyline worked well, drawing me into the setting. The incidents that took place during Tommy's school days were something most could relate to, from one side of the conflict or the other. I found myself hoping that things would turn out better for Tommy, as he progressed into manhood. Just when I thought he was 'home free', the ending gave forth an unexpected shock that left me unsettled by the injustice done to Tommy and Emma.

I liked it! A nice piece of work.

A good story-teller [ No Rating ] 6 Mar 2005
The author has a real nack for story-telling, and for writing nicely-written interesting short-stories geared toward teens. Would love to see her put together a collection in one book.

There are some basic themes that every writer should take a stab at, and Jennifer Fox pulls her version of the clasic "revenge after death" theme off very well.
Love the ending

This is a great story for people who like a little of the supernatural in their fiction. It resonates with those of us who were bullied in some way or another in school, especially the sad but satisfying ending.
Very good!

I thought it was my life for a while. I had similar experiences except my revenge was I hit the weights and got big. It was a very big twist. I wasn't expecting the ending. A great parable for kids about pickining on others. Makes you stop and wonder!!!

This author weaves her phrases as precisely as an artist paints on a canvas. The portrait that emerges is one that you won't forget!

i'm not usually into stories that don't make me laugh but this was really interesting. I could relate to some of it and i'm glad i haven't experienced anything like most of the events of this story. One thing though: near the end it was supposed to say "trick" but it says "tick" instead.
