Description:

Note: This is the black & white version of Dslyecxi's ArmA TTP Guide guide. Covering everything from basic infantry tactics to advanced combined arms operations, Dslyecxi’s Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures Guide sets the standard for a community-developed player handbook. All of the essentials for organized play of ArmA: Combat Operations, or any other tactical realism game, are presented in a functional and easy to understand format. Where other guides approach tactical realism with bulky emphasis on “real,” Dslyecxi has distilled years of modern combat documentation into a package that is directly relevant to gaming, with none of the excesses that hinder game play. Beneficial to both experienced simulation and entry level players alike, Tactics is an excellent addition to any gamer’s library.

Chances are you've already had a look though the online version of this guide on Dslyecxi's ShackTactical site and if that is the case you'll already be aware of the high standard of information contained therein. The printed version is simply the website content put onto paper so there are some web specific statements and hyperlinks present that obviously have no function on paper. That is but a minor point, I can highly recommend this guide for all players of ArmA and other PC military simulations. The book is bound in a full colour softback cover and the interior on good quality paper. I purchased the mono version as I simply could not justify the cost of the colour version to myself. Some of the illustrations are rather hard to see due to the print quality no being of the highest definition. If the buyer is happy with the price of the full colour book then I'd say go for that but if not then all the important bits a perfectly legible in the mono book at a much lower price. In conclusion a really worthwhile purchase.
