This is the third book in the series titled Cedar Tree Mysteries. Megan and Christy lived with their parents in a fictitious city called River City, Kansas. They will be in the fifth grade at River City Elementary School, which was across the street from their house. They attended Vacation Bible School, but when Megan saw her father leave for work early one morning, she wanted to find out where he was going. That morning, Megan and Christy followed him. They saw his car at a house, and when they saw him come outside with a woman, they did not know what to think.
