[MP3 DOWNLOAD/preview] This is the soundtrack to a 15 minute short poem-film "He was a Poet..." written and directed by Mark Saba and filmed by Jerry Domian. There is no dialog, and only a few words are shown in the film- slow shifting dreamy scenes. The music was created with the mindset that the film itself was "dreaming"- and its own dream generated the sounds. It is a beautiful poem about a poet who dies, and gets buried in a tree. Then a tree company cuts it down and makes furniture.Beautiful haunting "prepared-trumpet" playing by soloist Joseph Drew, and distant ringing tones of Gesualdo with sound-design from noises of trees falling and being cut.Included as the third track of "Papyrus Nugator II" CD (much better quality) available at HEREBACK TO Istvan's COMPOSITION PageBack to Istvan's MySpace Page
