This minuet conveys elements of tragedy and tension, all made possible without dissonance and with the employment of 17th century Baroque harmonies. This is Mr. Stolyarov's definitive demonstration that music can convey any sort of mood without resorting to violations of harmony. This revised second edition also contains a rendition of this composition by Christopher Schlegel on a Steinway grand piano. The file with this recording has the letters "SR" in its name.
