Children brought up properly do not ordinarily question what their parents tell them to do. To a small child his parents are the same as God. They are the authoritative figures that control his or her little world. We should be childlike in not trying to apply logic to what is clearly God’s will. This does not rule out growing and maturing in Christ Jesus and attaining more knowledge and understanding. There are three parts to a race and a life. There are the beginning, the progression (moving ahead) and the end. We have to leave the beginning or basic principles of our faith and grow into what God wants us to be.
