Reincarnation: A New Perspective - We are all spiritual beings. Our spirit bodies are connected to our physical bodies because they were joined together as we were conceived and born into this life. The spirit is ancient, even predating earth.
If your spirit existed before this earth was formed, then you were wherever spirits are before this life. My experience and understanding of the spirit world are that spirits exist in another dimension, realm, or plane. Let's just use the word "dimension" here to make this more understandable. Spirits existing in that dimension would be able to interact with one another.
