BARD OF THE GOLDEN CITY is a faerie story set in medieval times. Every thousand years, the Golden City at the Earth’s heart auditions for a minstrel to play at the Royal court. This is the story of Terfilio and his three tests to become Bard of the Golden City.
This is the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival’s Acoustic Music Centre production and features the composition of Edith Fairlie as musical director and the songwriting team of John Dignan and Andrew Hennessey. An original tale by Andrew Hennessey told by Actors and piano and harp and keyboards, guitar and cello and flute and bodhran and the songs of John Dignan.
The show was recorded and produced at the famous Pier House studios in Granton, Edinburgh.
