They were known as the second 'Kingston Trio'. The FOLKLORES, who were first heard on Boston super radio station WBZ and later appeared on various television shows in the early 60's. The trio performed several times live on WNAC-TV with The David Allen Show, and with the Major Mudd Show . This program was first aired over WMLO radio in July of 1965. The live broadcast was produced by Gene Weed from a live concert recording with Ron Toleos and Prescott Jackson. Prescott went on to the AFRS Radio network and replaced Adrian Cronauer in Saigon. Gene went on to radio and film, and produced over 1,000 albums, 254 TV shows and 86 major films. Steve Cormier was in Viet Nam serving a MASH unit the time of this broadcast, and went onto a career in the medical field. Ron went into education and served as principal of a New England School.
