From pastels done in the early '80's, then to mixed media and oil works from the '90's, "Heroines Unlikely" culminates with Stephen's watercolor pencil on canvas explorations in the year 2000, when the text for "Heroines" was written. Archived as scanned images on Scars.tv, these images have since been digitally re-mastered. The book, 40 pages in all, has excellent color plates and would make for a great gift, especially for those who appreciate strong women of character.
