Twisted Roads is comprised of four standalone but intertwined stories.
In Part 1 ("On the Border") seven-year-old Katrina Tilford is kidnapped from her bus stop in a tiny midwestern town. Paroled sex offender Roy Thornquist concocts a bizarre scheme which he feels will prevent him from being convicted, no matter what atrocities he commits. Tracked by dog teams into the U.S./Canada border area, Thornquist gets more than he bargained for from an unexpected source.
Part II ("Closure") details the conflicting emotions the Tracy family feels when it deals with the finality of losing their daughter and sister when her remains are finally discovered 16 years after she was raped and murdered by Thornquist.
