This work is a facsimile reproduction of the original Douay Old Testament 1635 AD. It is a precisely accurate translation of the Latin Vulgate into English filled with valuable notes and annotations. As I have explained on the back cover, this reproduction was created from scans of previously done facsimile. This edition was not created from originals, so some of the small type is difficult to read. This applies to the notes and annotations. The biblical text itself is in a larger font and is very clear. I was reluctant to provide a preview of this book because for some reason, the preview is not representative of the clarity of this facsimile. The review is very fuzzy and broken up. Nonetheless, I provided the review so someone who has never feasted their eyes on this historical translation, can at least see what it is laid out like.
