Mandala comes from a Sanskrit word which means “containing essence.” Often referred to as the Circle of Life, mandalas are used in many cultural and spiritual traditions. I believe the mandalas in this calendar contain the essence of the nature elements I've used to create my imagery. What you see is a blending of the organic and technological worlds; flowers, crystals and feathers are digitally transformed into magical new patterns guaranteed to delight the mind and soothe the spirit. Each of the mandalas is accompanied by an inspirational quotation from the 13th century Persian poet Rumi.
