In these portraits of women who work as prostitutes on the streets most stripped of the manufactured glitz and glamour that is Las Vegas, we see the defiant joy of a glamour that forces its way past the cuts, bruises, and other marks of desolation that addiction creates: we see a glamour of the mind, the briefest glimpse made visible by a sort of will to beauty.
