The Butterfly Series for Health and Wellbeing.
A series of relaxation exercises developed for The Macmillan Butterfly Centre. This is a guided visualisation exercise for physical and mental relaxation to promote a sense of wellbeing and restore emotional and psychological balance. Choose a comfortable place to rest, either sitting or lying down, and make sure you won’t be disturbed. You may open your eyes at the end, allow yourself to continue relaxing, or drift into sleep and awaken naturally. The exercise is approximately 25 minutes long. Try to incorporate it into your routine at least two or three times a week. Frequent practice will improve your coping skills and release the stress that uses up valuable healing energy.
