Dumpy Onions is another rock child of the live "Tape Heads Jam". This tune showcases John Hammond on guitar and Kevin Bolshaw on bass. John experiments with some drawn out slide licks that add much excitement to this number. Rich plays an unusual snare sound to add a different flavor to the rhythm. It seems to work for him, because as the tune goes on, his drumming evolves into a swirling cloud of tom hits and cymbals.
