Marrian, Age 7 experiments with the voice of Doreid Laham by way of an Arabic folk song. The vocal samples were taken from a scene in an old VHS film depicting a prisoner who hopes to connect with his mother back home as they both look at the moon. Laham’s voice is transformed in numerous ways throughout the piece as he is heard asking, “to see the moon”, weeping in regret of the past, and singing lines of despair: “I’m frightened; frightened that I’ll spend my life behind these walls.” [Multi Channel 4.0 Format- Multiple Mono Files]
