The Armenian translation of the Bible was made in the 5th century from the Greek and Syriac sources. Originally published by Dr H. Zohrabian of the Mechitarist Congregation in 1805, Venice, known as "The Zohrab Bible" and used in BHS and NA27.
The text is divided according to the ancient Armenian chapters but the usual chapter/verse numbers are also given for easy reference. Hexaplaric signs preserved in the Armenian mss are printed wherever they occur according to Zohrabian. Eusebian canons and "kephalaiah"-type marks are also according to the Armenian and not Greek mss tradition.
