Claudia discovers that she will never be able to have children of her own. Nicole is pregnant with her first child but has recently realized that she is not in love with her successful husband. An excerpt from this play was featured in The Best Women's Stage Monologues of 2000. After it's world premiere in Chicago, False Hopes was selected by Love Creek Productions for inclusion in their Summer 2001 One-Act Series in New York and received an Equity showcase production at The John Houseman Studio Theatre.
