Parts of the mass became translucent, others became hard and shiny. The general body being formed was dull and steamed slightly like a freshly broiled lobster.
It was a blend of crab, jellyfish, tick and spider, with graceful spiked legs and a bloated body dotted with four pairs of eyes. These eight eyes were double pupilled and malevolent. In fact the general demeanor of the monster was hostile, with twitches and rapid leg movements indicating at best agitation and at worst - predatory hunger.
As shocking as its appearance was, a greater shock came when it spoke.
"Tyr. We meet again."
