2008 Sep 23 I am back to writing about Tommy Veneto. I have visited New York City so I feel like I understand the city a little more. I have the first four chapters completed and once I regain my barrings for the next section, the rest of the writing should proceed quickly. I hope to have it finished before the end of the year.

2008 May 21 I have taken a short break from writing Tommy Veneto's story because I am going to New York City June 1-7 with my grandfather. This will give me a great to see what New York is like hand. It's hard to write about a city I have never visited. Granted, New York City has changed considerably since the 1930's, but I can still see the old sites and the residue of a past culture. I want to see the big places like the Statue of Liberty, but most of all, the rundown and lowlife areas. Tommy Veneto is a poor kid. I want to get at the very least, a small taste of the housing conditions, food, etc. -Corey
