Danuta Blaszak

Danuta Blaszak was born in Warsaw, Poland where she studied in Polish Geometric Topology (mathematical theory of infinite-dimensional strange spaces) and Journalism at Warsaw University. She started her profession by working at Polish Scientific Publisher as an editor in the area of “Funadamenta Mathematicae”. Then she started to translate novels from English to Polish. At the present she is a member of the Polish Writers Union, publishing and editing “Miasto Literatow 2000++” – an Internet Magazine of Polish Contemporary Literature. Ms. Blaszak has written 4 Volumes of Poetry, a novel “Both too sensitive” (in Polish), and Journalistic essays. Her poems have been included in the anthologies of generation, and also in “Gold Anthology of Millennium” (ed. Nawrocki). Among her literary literary are: Agnieszka Osiecka Award - for Poetry, 1999, The Copper Amour Award - for Poetry of Love, 1997, Icarus Award - for poetry of Flight, 1997. She is currently living with her family in Winter Park, FL. She studies American Literature. She admires the following literature professors: Diane Orsini, Bijan Moeinian, Dave Rogers and Stephanie Freuler. She loves being with people, or watching towering cumulus clouds, or canoeing alone through Floridian swamps.
